How came to be The door to hell

Today, I received a message from my friend.

She told me...

"I'm gonna visit to Turkmenistan soon."

"Turkmenistan???"

I have friends all over the world, but this is the first time I've heard of a country with that name.

So, I decided to look up Turkmenistan.

Then...

The location is here.

The national flag is this.

Certainly, it exists.

And what I found was this!!

Commonly known as the "Door to Hell."

What is this!?

Is this real The Lord of the Rings?

It has a visual that makes me want to throw a ring into it.

It looks just like the volcanic crater in Mordor from Lord of the Rings!!

It really feels like a monster like this could come out from inside.

Curious about this Gate to Hell, I looked it up...

That result is...

Interesting!!

So interesting!!

So, I want to tell you about it!!

Let me explain how the Gate to Hell came to be.

Originally, this place was just a vast desert.

However, one day, a Soviet Union engineer noticed this place.

"This will be an oil field!!"

"If we can extract oil from here, we can make a huge profit!!"

"Let's investigate the amount of oil reserves buried here!!"

Yes, Sir!!

And so, the investigation of the oil reserves began.

As they proceeded with the investigation,

Accidentally, the ground collapsed!!

A huge crater appeared on the surface!!

The drilling rig and the campsite all collapsed...

But that wasn't the end of it...

Toxic gas began to be released from the huge crater created by the collapse!!

"This is too bad!!

 If we don't do something,

it will affect the nearby town!!

We have to do something!!

But what can we do with such a huge hole and such a vast toxic gas?"

Then they came up with a solution:

Calm down!!

"Even if it's toxic, gas is still just gas!!

If we set it on fire, it will burn up and disappear!!"

"Set it on fire!!"

"Then Toxic gas will disappear!!"

"If the gas burns out, the fire will also go out"

"Yes, Sir!!"

Ignite!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a result, the toxic gas indeed burned...

However, they miscalculated.

They thought:

"If the gas burns up, the fire will eventually go out."

They expected it would last for a few weeks at most...

However, in reality, the gas emissions showed no sign of stopping,

actually, the flames have been burning continuously for over 50 years now.

That's way too long!!

Too much burning for a long time!!

It started burning long before I was born and continues to burn even now.

And thus, the Gate to Hell was completed.

As a result, they didn't discover an oil field, but today this place has become a mystical tourist spot.

The number of stars is an astonishing 4.4!!

From what I found, there's even a 5-day camping tour.

Honestly, I wanna visit it.

But I don’t wanna watch this for 5 days.

30 minutes is enough for me.

Watching this for 5 days definitely gets boring.
